How to administratively manage reservations that contain discount codes from vouchers or other promotions
Booking with discount code by the customer
The customer has the possibility to use the discount codes directly in the booking and create his reservation without the intervention of the administrators. Simply enter one or more codes in the box during checkout.
Reservation entry on the secretariat side
The administrators and the secretariat can obviously enter a reservation with a discount code. To leave maximum freedom to customize and modify reservations, the prices and discount values must be entered manually, let's see how.
1. Enter one or more discount codes in the appropriate CODE
box
2. Check the code value and validity (whether it has already been used or is still active) via the green V or red X. If the X appears red, the code may have expired or already been used.
3. Enter the discount value as DISCOUNT by setting both the agreed price with a negative value:
In this case the amounts have not yet been collected and therefore it is correct that the Deposit and Balance are still at 0.
If you have already collected the amounts you can set the total by loading the discount with the same payment method used for the payment:
4. Save the reservation as CONFIRMED -> YES will trigger the code usage counter. If the code comes from a voucher, which are generally codes with only one use, saving it will make it unusable a second time. The reservation can be sent for confirmation by the customer or the ticket can be sent.
